“LIFE: WHERE DID IT ALL GO?”

Oh the tide of life - in it comes and out it goes.

Life has been a fleeting second or so it seems.

It is not to be left in the past but to share it now.

My dear Mike opined it best regarding how to slow the passage of time.

Let’s rid the days, weeks, months and years as printed on a piece of fabricated bark.

We start small.  We end small.  In between we try to stand tall.

Our dreams are big.  Some we get; some we forget.

Many a friend has passed our path.  Only a few are true at best.

If fortune has come our way, many corners of God’s earth have been seen.

If providential, we have met so many that have provided joy and wisdom.

What we have learned may be left for another time.

Chances not taken are chances lost.

Treasures have been gained but how measured?

We whine, we shine.  In the end it is up to us.

We ache; we cry but bear the pain.

Joy and sadness are mixed like drinks but we must down them both.

I’m so appreciative and grateful for those I’ve met; places I’ve been;

things I’ve done and especially for my Putter!

But there are still questions to be asked.

How much did we give?  Is it too late?

The brightness of another dawn; the fading of another dusk.

And so it is a fleeting moment in the annals of time.

Departure should not be sad but only glad.  For some, it is only the    beginning.
